ElectroForest is a user-to-user marketplace for gently used technology.
Safety, simplicity, and the human factor make Swappa better.
Buyers and sellers transact safely and directly using PayPal. Extensive buyer and seller protections keep both parties safe. And sellers get paid fast.
To keep our marketplace safe, we don’t allow broken items. Every product has listing requirements and an approval process to ensure confident shopping.
Sellers don't pay fees to ElectroForest. Buyers sometimes pay a small fee that is included in the sale price. Either way, everyone saves money over eBay.
On ElectroForest your listing is not considered sold until you are paid. And we don’t make you wait to receive your money as a first time seller. You will have payment before you ship.
ElectroForest has fantastic support. Our moderators keep an eye on things to ensure listings meet our strict quality criteria. And we're quick to answer questions.
ElectroForest was founded in 2010 by waqasyousaf, a long-time software and mobile developer.
The inspiration for ElectroForest sparked when Ben had trouble finding a good source for test devices for Android development projects. Turning to eBay and Craigslist proved perilous and time-wasting for buying mobile phones. Blacklisted phones, junk devices, inefficient communication, and downright fraud plagued the antiquated marketplaces.
Knowing there had to be a better way, ElectroForest began as a side-project to build a better marketplace for buying and selling quality mobile devices. Safety, simplicity, low fees, and the "human factor" made Swappa different then and still do to this day.
From the first ElectroForest sale (a Motorola Droid) to millions of dollars per month in commerce, ElectroForest has grown to be the ultimate used tech marketplace. We enjoy creating technology that makes it easy for people to directly sell devices to other consumers and everything we do revolves around this concept.
ElectroForest's growth means more money in the pockets of our users.
